>The new season will see the return of series 1 "Drift king" Nick Shrimpton who recently purchased Steven 'angry' Bailes's old wide body S13. Steve finally ironed out all the problems with the vehicle and seems a little regretful of the sale of his baby.

>Why did Steve sell his car??? How does an ex-Japanese track/D1 s13 sound for a reason? That's exactly what Drift South will be seeing as Steve recently purchased the sickest S13 NZ has seen. This mad Silvia was built from new by Jap tuning shop "Inside Tuning" as a demo car for there products. The car began as a track spec car but eventually ended up as a full spec D1 car. With around 500ps and a sequential gearbox this cars mod list is endless. Watch out for this!

>We may also see top driver Gene Rhodes returning with a new vehicle as his famous blue Laurel is up for sale. What's the new car going to be....wait and see.

>Although still in the early stages, Drift South organisers plan on holding NZ's first ever drift round at Invercargill's Teretonga race track. This will be a super high speed track and should make for some of the most spectacular drifting seen down South. Keep posted for updates
