You will need to be a member of the Canterbury Car Club and obtain a clubsport license.
This event involves racing a pre-determined circuit or course as fast as possible with the opportunity to display drift style skills on designated corners and picking up a maximum 10 style points per corner, which is then deducted from the time to give a net score for that run. Several runs over the same or a different course during the event will combine to produce a winner who has the lowest score.
Practice Days
These days are set aside to allow time to learn the art of drift, either as a Street Legal in the morning or for Pro Drift in the afternoons.
The cost is $50 for Members and $100 for Non-Members. A motorsport license is not required but the same safety compliance required as for competition days is.
Drift zones will be designated for the day and cars will be released one at a time initially, then in pairs for Pro Drift and then full circuit for Street Legal.
The expectation is for zero track damage and drivers who do not or cannot meet these expectations will be asked to leave the circuit and may be banned from further access to the circuit for practice or competition.
